Administrator & Founder
My name is Meatta Dennis Kromah, a.k.a. Tata, and I am the owner of Serenity Caring Home Care Services LLC.
Caring for others has been a part of my life for more than 25 years. I believe that when a family places their loved one in my care, they are trusting me with someone precious to them. I do not take that responsibility lightly. I believe every client deserves to be treated with compassion, dignity, patience, respect, and kindness—just like family.
My passion for caring is supported by years of hands-on healthcare experience, education, and professional training. I am Administrator Certified, State Training Certified for Home Care, and I hold a Degree in Healthcare Management, a Graduate Program in Business Administration/Healthcare Administration at UNC Pembroke, an Associate Degree as a Respiratory Therapist, and a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). I am also HIPAA Certified and Bloodborne Pathogen Certified.
I created Serenity Caring Home Care Services because I wanted to provide something that I believe every family deserves: care that comes from the heart and is backed by knowledge, experience, and professional credentials.
When I say “Home Care That Feels Like Family,” it is more than a slogan. It is the standard I want every client and family we serve to experience.

Kind words from the families we serve and the professionals who know our care firsthand.
I am a physician at Duke Clinic and have known Meatta Dennis as a family friend for approximately 12 to 15 years. During that time, I have come to know her as a hardworking, compassionate, and dependable person with a genuine desire to care for others.
I am fortunate to work in a high-demand profession, and I understand how strongly Meatta, as a Respiratory Therapist, desires to use her professional training to care for sick and vulnerable patients. This desire was especially strong during the COVID-19 pandemic, when respiratory therapists played such an important role in caring for critically ill patients.
While she was unable to work in her profession as a Respiratory Therapist, Meatta continued to serve others by caring for older adults in their homes. She treated the individuals in her care with patience, compassion, dignity, and the same concern she would give to members of her own family.
Meatta also previously cared for a young boy who had leukemia as well as behavioral challenges. She provided care for him in his home and consistently transported him to behavioral therapy twice each week. Caring for a child facing both serious medical and behavioral challenges requires patience, responsibility, commitment, and compassion, and Meatta demonstrated all of these qualities.
Meatta has always shown a sincere commitment to helping people who are sick, elderly, disabled, or otherwise in need of support. Her dedication to caregiving is not simply a job to her; it is something she takes seriously and approaches with genuine compassion and responsibility.
“We highly recommend Meatta Dennis! Ms. Dennis is a reliable and compassionate person who takes great pride in her work. Meatta began working with our family shortly after the birth of our second son. Our eldest has several special needs that include physical, educational, medical and behavioral. These needs are all or in part due to chemotherapy. Meatta played a critical role ensuring the eldest attends occupational therapy and special needs pre-kinder school. While working for us, she helped us apply educational, medical, occupational and parental suggestions given to us by educators and therapists. Each day the boys were greeted with loving hugs and throughout the day they were comforted and cared for as if they were one of Meatta's own children.”
“Meatta, whom we lovingly call Tata, is a woman with a truly good heart. She has been caring for my mother for the past two years, and my mother absolutely loves having her around. Meatta takes care of everything my mother needs. She helps her with bathing, feeding, cooking, cleaning, laundry, and many other daily needs. She is patient, dependable, and caring, and she treats my mother with kindness and respect. Because of Meatta, I do not have to constantly worry about whether my mother is being properly cared for. I have peace of mind knowing that she is in good hands. Most importantly, I have noticed that my mother is happier and laughing much more these days. We are very grateful to have Tata in our lives and appreciate the love and care she gives my mother every day.”
“After my father's surgery we needed help fast. Serenity Caring stepped in within days with personal care and medication reminders. The peace of mind is priceless.”
“The respite care gave me my first real rest in two years. I came home to a tidy house, a home-cooked meal, and my husband smiling.”
“The adult outings changed everything for my aunt. Coffee runs, park walks, a movie now and then — she is social and active again.”
